Privacy Policy
Last updated: 30 July 2026
1. Overview
facturXlogy is operated by Canopy Nexus Ltd. This policy explains what happens to the information you provide when you use the service. The short version: we do not store your invoice data. It is processed in memory to generate your document and immediately discarded.
2. Invoice data
The details you enter in the invoice form — seller and buyer identities, addresses, VAT numbers, bank details, invoice lines, notes — are sent to our server once, for the sole purpose of generating your Factur-X document. They are:
- processed transiently in memory and never written to a database or file;
- never used for any purpose other than generating the document you requested;
- never shared with, or sold to, third parties;
- gone as soon as your document has been generated and returned to your browser.
The generated PDF and XML exist only in your browser. If you close the page without downloading them, they cannot be recovered — by you or by us.
3. What we may collect
Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure produces standard technical server logs (IP address, request time, user agent, pages requested) used for security and to keep the service running. These logs do not include the content of your invoices and are retained only briefly.
4. Cookies and tracking
facturXlogy does not use advertising trackers and does not set cookies for the invoice workflow. Your form entries live in your browser’s memory for the duration of your visit and disappear when you leave the page.
We use Umami, a privacy-focused, cookieless analytics service, to understand how many people visit the site and use the invoice wizard. Umami does not use cookies and does not track you across other websites. We record anonymised page views and a handful of product events — starting the invoice wizard, successfully generating an invoice, downloading the PDF, downloading the XML — none of which include the content of your invoice or any other information you entered in the form.
5. Feedback form
At the end of the trial we invite you — entirely optionally — to tell us whether you would subscribe to the service, via a form hosted by Tally (tally.so). Any information you submit there is provided voluntarily, is processed by Tally under its own privacy policy, and is used by us solely to understand interest in the product and to contact you about it if you ask us to.
6. Legal basis (GDPR)
Where the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation applies, we process the data described above on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating and securing the service (server logs) and of your consent (feedback form). Because we do not retain invoice data, requests for access, rectification or erasure of that data are generally moot — there is nothing to access or erase.
7. Your rights
You have the rights granted by applicable data-protection law, including the rights to access, rectify and erase personal data we hold about you, and the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. To exercise any right, contact us via canopynexus.com.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time; the date at the top indicates the latest revision. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
